Singapore (day 2)

7 July 2012

We woke up at 7 am then we cleaned ourselves. For my breakfast I had Meranti Cakes and a cup of tea.

At around 9 am, we went to Jurong East MRT Station to meet with my brother there. Then my brother led us to his house. His house is at an HDB at storey 11. He along with his friends rented a house there and shared the rooms. He got a single room.

At 11 am, we went to Boon Lay MRT Station, then to Jurong Point mall. There we had our lunch. I had some kind of noodle with pork, dumplings, and cabbage; for drinks I had orange juice.

In the afternoon, we went to Jurong Bird Park by bus. Inside the bird park, we boarded the tram and looked around the park. Near the entrance, there was a Penguin’s cage. I was so happy to see them. I took many photos of them. The first tram stop was “Lory Loft” to feed the birds, there was also a shop there. I bought some penguin figurines. The second tram stop was “African Waterfall Aviary”. There was a man-made waterfall, which was the tallest ever made, according to the guide there. When taking photos there, I got nosebleed. After the nosebleed stop, we rode the tram to the entrance. We then watched exhibitions: bird paradise, penguin feeding, and predator birds. After that, it was around 6 pm, we went back to the hotel by bus.

We arrived in the hotel around 7pm and then went to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands to have our dinner and go shopping until 9 pm. There we met my cousins, along with their parents, who are from Jakarta and stayed in the same hotel in room 3250.

Around 10 pm, they came to our room and chatted with us until 11pm. We planned to go swimming at 7 am the next day.
