It was the first day of Star Wars: The Force Awakens screening in Indonesia. And since my sister’s school was still having examinations, I would like to take this opportunity to go and watch the film before they finished exams and crowded the cinemas.

For me, this movie is really similar to A New Hope with some Disney elements. Kylo Ren face is a typical evil handsome Disney prince (in Frozen?) Rey looks like a typical Disney protagonist princess.
I’d say similar and I noticed this when Han was about to have showdown with Kylo Ren: I remember the scene of Ben Kenobi vs Darth Vader. Besides that, I reflected and realized that on both movies, both started on a desert planet; both have important message carried by a droid; both have a big deadly weapon (Death Star, and even bigger Death Star); and both have a weakness that can be destroyed by X-Wing fighters. Oh by the way, the “stupid” twin ends at Kylo Ren lightsaber actually have a usage during lightsaber deadlock.

In conclusion, it was a really nice movie that sparks a lot of new questions about the characters, the plot, and everything.
